Build your package templates once (name, price, how many lessons, how long the credit lasts, and whether a no-show forfeits a lesson), sell one to a student when they pay, with a GST-inclusive invoice raised automatically if you want, and every lesson you book deducts one credit against the right package. How does a lesson deduct a credit?
When you book a lesson against a student who holds a package, one credit is deducted from their balance automatically. The deduction is atomic and double-spend-safe, so the same lesson can never consume two credits, and if the lesson is cancelled or rescheduled the credit is returned.
What happens on a no-show?
That's your call. Each package template has a no-show forfeit setting, turn it on and a no-show consumes the lesson per your cancellation policy; leave it off and the credit stays on the student's balance.
Does it raise an invoice when I sell a package?
Yes, optionally. When you sell a package you can have a GST-inclusive invoice raised automatically with the package as a line item, BAS-ready, with your ABN printed. The sale is recorded either way, so you can also just take the payment and skip the invoice.
Can students see how many lessons they have left?
Yes, each student has a live balance of lessons remaining, so parents and students don't have to text you to check. When they run low, the renewal invoice is one tap to send.
Do credits expire?
You can set a validity period per package (e.g. a 10-lesson pack expires in 6 months). Once past expiry the remaining credits are no longer available to book against, which stops dormant credits piling up.
