When a customer pays an invoice, the payment records against that invoice for you, so what is still owing is always current. Supplier bills and receipts go in by photo or PDF and the scanner reads the supplier, date, GST and total off them. Workshop expenses you log throughout the day (parts from Repco or your supplier, fuel for the diesel courtesy car, consumables from Burson) are categorised and tracked against revenue so you can see real margin per job, not just what you invoiced. GST is calculated on every invoice and expense automatically. Diesel fuel-tax credits and tool depreciation flag for your accountant. Come BAS quarter, you export a clean summary (GST collected, GST paid, the difference owing) and hand it across or lodge it yourself. No shoebox of receipts, no end-of-quarter scramble.
