Key takeaways

5
  • OneBookPlus is tyre-shop software for Australian operators, replacing stacks like Workshop Software or MechanicDesk plus MYOB Business, and the separate review and reminder tools with one platform from $0/mo (Free), $29/mo (Starter) or $69/mo (Growth, billed in AUD).
  • Per-wheel tread tracking with photo proof of the depth gauge is the workflow that turns a tread check from a verbal recommendation into a customer-visible trend chart, typical shops report a meaningful lift in tyre and rotation re-bookings once the chart is on the public service-history page.
Show 3 more
  • SMS alignment upsell when the fitter spots uneven wear converts 30-40% of walk-in fits to alignment add-ons, the photo + explanation + one-tap approval flow does the selling for you while you're still fitting.
  • Stock reorder against Tyrepower, Beaurepaires, Bridgestone Select, Goodyear Autocare and direct wholesalers is one-click, min/max per SKU (by size and brand) with auto-emailed POs when stock dips below threshold.
  • Per-tyre environmental disposal fee is handled correctly with GST, and the quarterly BAS export breaks it out separately so your accountant can reconcile against the state EPA scheme.

Everything You Need

Built for tyre-shop volume

Walk-in capacity, per-wheel tread and alignment history, interval reminders, and SMS quote approval, on the same platform as your invoicing and accounting.

Per-Wheel Tread Tracking

Capture tread depth in mm on each of the four (or six) wheels with a photo of the gauge. Customer report shows tread over time as a trend chart, sells rotation and replacement.

Interval Reminders

Set a service interval in kilometres and days, per vehicle or as a shop-wide default, and the customer is emailed automatically when their car reaches it. Point it at rotation and it books the re-fit. Email, not SMS.

SMS Alignment Upsell

Spot uneven wear during fitting? Send a one-tap SMS with the photo and an alignment quote. Customer approves while you finish the fit, most shops convert 30% to 40% of inbound fits to alignments.

Bay Capacity Tile

Walk-in customer asks if you can fit them in? The capacity tile shows the next four free slots across all bays in one glance, quote a real time, not a guess.

Stock Reorder by SKU

Track tyre stock by size and brand with min-stock alerts. Auto-emailed POs to Tyrepower, Beaurepaires, Bridgestone Select, Goodyear or your direct supplier when you dip below threshold.

GST & BAS Ready

GST on every fit + balance + disposal fee + alignment + valve. Quarterly BAS export is one click, labour, parts, environmental disposal categorised correctly.

1
Step 1

Customer drives in

Scan the VIN, capture rego: vehicle profile loads with last tread depths, fitting history and service interval. Walk-in or booked.

2
Step 2

Photo the gauge

Tap each wheel, enter tread depth, photo the gauge. Spot uneven wear? The SMS upsell link for an alignment quote is one tap away.

3
Step 3

Fit + balance + (alignment)

Tech logs the fit; if customer approved the alignment upsell, capture the before-and-after angles. Stock decrements automatically.

4
Step 4

Invoice + next interval

GST-compliant invoice with disposal fee. The next service interval schedules forward and the customer is emailed when the car reaches it.

Who it's for

Built for every tyre shop

From a two-bay independent to a multi-site franchise. OneBookPlus adapts.

Independent Tyre Shop

Two or three bays, mostly walk-ins. Needs walk-in capacity, fast SMS upsell, and a cleaner stock count than the spreadsheet.

Tyre + Mechanical

Tyres are a feeder; the workshop is the margin. Needs the same vehicle file across both, with one service interval driving both reminders.

Multi-Site Operator

Two to five sites under one owner. Needs site-to-site benchmarking, group-level stock visibility, and consistent SOP.

Performance / 4WD Specialist

Higher per-fit revenue, alignment-heavy. Needs the angle archive and the visual customer report that justifies the price.

Example walkthrough

Saturday in the fitting bay, four cars deep

An illustrative walkthrough of a typical fitting-bay day

7:55am. You open the bay capacity tile on the counter tablet: three hoists, two morning bookings, and a queue of walk-ins already forming. The 8am booking is a set of four on a dual-cab ute. You tap the rego and the vehicle file loads with last visit's tread depths and the rotation that is now overdue.

The first walk-in wants just a fit on a pair of fronts. You scan the VIN, photograph the gauge, and record the left-front at 2.3mm, edge-worn on the outer shoulder. You tap that wheel, attach the photo, and send a four-wheel alignment quote by SMS. The customer reads the wear explanation, taps Accept from the waiting-room couch, and it drops straight onto the same invoice, turning a fit-only job into a fit plus alignment.

10am. A fleet ute rolls in with a slow puncture booked online overnight. You fit, balance, and log a new valve and the per-tyre disposal levy; GST applies automatically. The Pay Now link goes out and settles by card before the ute leaves the forecourt.

Through the day, interval reminders email out to customers whose cars have reached the kilometres or the months you set. Two reply with a booking, re-bookings that would otherwise have gone to the franchise store down the road. When a fast-moving size drops below its minimum, a purchase order emails to the supplier automatically.

End of day: a full board of vehicles through, several alignments sold off the back of tread photos, and every paid invoice queued a Google review request. Come BAS time, the GST summary, with the disposal levy broken out, exports in one click.

One day, written by itself, an illustrated day of an Australian tyre shop run on OneBookPlus

An illustrated day, not real customer data. Scroll through it from morning to 5pm: the AI receptionist answers and books a missed call, the work runs from the app, the GST invoice is sent on the spot, payment lands and the books balance themselves, a review invite is queued for the next daily run, and the day closes with the ledger already written.

Marco's front tyres are bald and rego's due Friday. He calls the first tyre shop on Google, you.

AI Receptionist

Answered while you were balancing a wheel.

The AI answers in two rings, books a 10:30 am bay slot, and texts him a confirmation, while you're balancing a wheel.

In the bay

The car file's already loaded.

Job card on the counter iPad: rego, tread photos, history. The quote's pre-filled from your fitted price list.

Card payment lands before the Mazda leaves the forecourt, and $52.73 GST is set aside for BAS.

Reputation on autopilot

Frequently Asked Questions

Does OneBookPlus track tyre tread depth per wheel?

Yes. The Tyre Tread & Wheel Alignment app captures tread depth in millimetres on each of the four (or six, for dual-rear) wheels, with a photo of the gauge for evidence. Each fit, rotation and inspection adds a new row to the per-vehicle history. Customers can see their tread-over-time chart on the public service-history link.

Can I send rotation reminders automatically?

Yes, by email. You set a service interval in kilometres and days, either as a shop-wide default or on an individual vehicle, and the customer is emailed automatically when their car reaches whichever comes first. Point that interval at your rotation cadence and it does the job. Two things to be straight about: there is no separate rotation schedule sitting alongside the service interval, and reminders go by email rather than SMS.

How does the SMS alignment upsell work?

When the fitter spots uneven wear during a fit (toe-out, camber pulling, edge wear), tap the wheel showing the wear, attach the gauge photo, and select 'Send alignment quote'. The customer receives an SMS with the photo, an explanation of the wear pattern, and a quote for a wheel alignment. They tap to approve while you're still fitting, most shops convert 30-40% of inbound fits to alignment add-ons this way.

Can I track stock by tyre size and brand?

Yes. The Parts Reorder & Stock app supports tyre catalogues organised by size (215/55R17, 235/45R18, etc.) and brand (Bridgestone, Michelin, Pirelli, Goodyear, Hankook, Kumho). Set min/max stock per SKU; the app auto-emails a PO to your supplier when stock dips below threshold. Supports Tyrepower, Beaurepaires, Bridgestone Select, Goodyear Autocare and direct wholesalers.

Does it handle the environmental disposal fee?

Yes. Configure the per-tyre disposal fee once (typical $5-8 in AU) and it auto-adds to every fitting invoice with the right GST treatment. The quarterly BAS export breaks out disposal separately so your accountant can reconcile against the state EPA scheme.

Is it good for walk-ins or only booked customers?

Both. The bay capacity tile shows the next four free slots across all bays in one glance, when a walk-in asks 'can you fit me in?' you get a real answer in seconds, not a guess. Booked customers flow through the standard appointment workflow.

How this page was researched

The compliance and licensing statements above are taken from the bodies this page links to, including the Department of Infrastructure, the ACCC product safety register and Tyre Stewardship Australia, so you can read the rule rather than take our word for it. Plan prices come from the OneBookPlus price registry, so the page and the checkout cannot disagree. Everything said about OneBookPlus describes what the product does today, and the page says so where it does not do something.

How OneBookPlus Works for Tyre Shops

Most independent Australian tyre shops still run the fitting bay on a paper run-sheet, a whiteboard for the day's bookings, and a separate accounting package that never quite agrees with the EFTPOS terminal. The fitter checks the tread with a gauge, mutters “you'll need fronts soon,” and that recommendation evaporates the moment the customer drives off. There's no record of the reading, no photo to back it up, and no reminder when the rotation falls due, so the re-fit walks down the road to Bob Jane or Beaurepaires instead. Worse, the alignment that the edge-worn shoulder was screaming for never gets quoted, because there's no fast way to show the customer the wear while the car's still on the hoist.

OneBookPlus rebuilds the tyre shop around the wheel. Scan the rego and the vehicle file loads with last visit's tread depths, the fitting history and the service interval you set. Tap each wheel, enter the depth in millimetres, photograph the gauge, and the customer's public service-history link now shows a tread-over-time chart that does the selling for you. When the fitter spots toe-out edge wear, one tap sends an SMS alignment quote with the photo and a plain-English explanation; the customer approves from the waiting room and the alignment drops onto the same invoice. And the interval reminder emails out by kilometres or calendar, whichever comes first, bringing the next fit back to your bay.

Your Daily Workflow

The day starts on the bay capacity tile, the next four free slots across every hoist, so when a walk-in asks “can you fit me in?” you quote a real time, not a guess. Each job runs Booked, On Hoist, Awaiting Approval, Ready. Tyres come off stock by size and brand as they're fitted (215/55R17, 235/45R18 and the rest), and when a SKU drops below its minimum a purchase order fires straight to Tyrepower, Bridgestone Select, Goodyear Autocare or your direct wholesaler. Every completed fit converts to a GST-compliant invoice that carries the per-tyre environmental disposal levy, a Pay Now link, and an automatic Google review request timed to land when the customer is happiest.

Expenses & Accounting

Card and EFTPOS payments are recorded against the invoice they settle, so the open-invoice list stays accurate. On the spend side, drop in the wholesaler invoice, the rent notice, the insurance renewal or the disposal-levy remittance as a photo or PDF and the scan reads the supplier, date, GST and total, ready for you to confirm the account it belongs to. Come BAS time the GST summary is already prepared, GST collected on fits, balances, alignments and valves, GST credits on stock, the disposal levy broken out separately, exportable in one click and shareable with your accountant (direct ATO lodgement is coming soon).

Getting Started

Sign up free, no credit card, no lock-in. Choose “Tyre shop” as your business type and OneBookPlus pre-configures fitting service categories (fit + balance, rotation, four-wheel alignment, puncture repair, valve replacement), an AU chart of accounts with the disposal levy mapped, and invoice templates with your ABN. Import your customers and vehicles via CSV from Workshop Software, MechanicDesk, Tyremaster or a spreadsheet. Most shops log their first tread reading within ten minutes and have the rotation-reminder engine running by the end of the day.
