Compare OneBookPlus
to the tool you already use
Honest side-by-side comparisons against Xero, MYOB, ServiceM8, Cliniko, Calendly, HubSpot and 41 others. We acknowledge where each competitor still wins. Credibility matters more than the click.
Key takeaways
7- AI Receptionist buyers get one cited roundup page at /vs/ai-receptionist-alternatives comparing 16 phone-answering and call-tracking services (Smith.ai, Ruby, Sophiie, OfficeHQ, Hooroo, WildJar, CallRail and more), each priced from the vendor's own published page. The OneBookPlus AI Receptionist answers calls + SMS 24/7 in 10+ languages, books into your own calendar, and includes a free Australian number for a flat $79/mo inc. GST.
- 47 comparison pages, every figure read from one registry and quoted in the currency the vendor publishes it in. Published monthly ladders, cheapest tier to dearest: accounting (Xero $37 to $500, MYOB $11 to $165, FreshBooks $29 to $60), bookings and CRM (Calendly US$0 to US$16, HubSpot US$0 to US$3600, Zoho US$9 to US$90), trades (ServiceM8 $29 to $349, Tradify $48 to $62, Jobber US$49 to US$499), allied health (Cliniko US$45 to US$395), hospitality (Fresha $29.95 to $44.95 plus marketplace commission, Timely $42 to $79, Square $0 to $40 plus transaction fees, Deputy $6.75 to $13), finance brokers (BrokerEngine $108.90 to $220), aged care (ShiftCare $9 to $25). What each vendor charges FOR differs and changes the real bill: per seat, per user, per job volume, per practitioner band or a flat account fee. Each comparison page states the basis beside the figure, and prints the date it was read wherever the registry holds that vendor's row.

- 7 of the vendors in that ladder publish no price at all: QuickBooks, Mailchimp, AroFlo, simPRO, Agentbox, LeeCare and AlayaCare all quote on request. Where a vendor will not print a number we say so rather than guess one, so their comparison pages argue on what the product does instead of on a figure we would have had to invent.
- Editorial policy: every comparison names what the competitor still does better. Cliniko wins on structured clinical notes; Mailchimp wins on pure-play email automation depth; ServiceM8 wins on legacy field-service workflows; Square wins on POS hardware and payment processing. We say so on the page.
- One worked example, priced from the registry on 2 August 2026: Xero $37/mo, Calendly US$10/mo, Mailchimp no published ongoing rate, ServiceM8 $29/mo. That stack is $66/mo + US$10/mo + Mailchimp, where a vendor named without a figure is one that publishes no ongoing rate, and each currency is printed as the vendor publishes it because converting them would invent a number. OneBookPlus Growth is $69/month and the Free plan is $0 with no card required. Annual billing charges ten months for twelve ($24.17/mo Starter, $57.50/mo Growth equivalent). Your own stack is the one that matters, so price yours.
- Disclosure: OneBookPlus benefits if you switch. Where we hold a competitor's published figures in our price registry, the comparison page prints the figure and the date it was read off that vendor's own Australian page from the same row; where we do not, the page prints no date rather than borrowing one. Vendor pages change often, so always check the vendor's own site before deciding.
- Built in Melbourne for Australian compliance: 10% GST, ABN validation, BAS quarterly lodgement, Fair Work award rates, and a Rostering and Payroll add-on ($29/mo, 14 day trial) that runs pay runs with PAYG withholding to the ATO Schedule 1 coefficients, superannuation, penalty rates, leave accrual, payslips and an ABA bank file. Single Touch Payroll pay events are not lodged to the ATO from OneBookPlus, and super is recorded rather than remitted through SuperStream. Built for Australia only, and that is a boundary rather than a soft yes: the tax rate, the tax-invoice wording and the payout rails are Australian, and we do not support overseas tax rules. ABN 17 971 013 775.

Frequently asked questions
Why would I switch from a tool I already use?
Most Australian small to medium businesses run 4-6 disconnected tools: accounting, booking, CRM, marketing, payroll. Each has its own subscription, login, and data silo. OneBookPlus replaces that stack with one platform, one login and shared data, so your invoices know about your bookings, your accounting knows about your payments, and your CRM updates automatically. Rostering and payroll is a separate $29/mo add-on rather than part of a plan. What you save depends entirely on which of your own subscriptions you retire, so price your stack against ours rather than trusting a range.
Are these comparisons honest, or marketing fluff?
We try hard to be honest. Each comparison page acknowledges where the competitor still wins: Cliniko on structured clinical notes, Mailchimp on email deliverability, Calendly on round-robin scheduling, simPRO on enterprise depth. If you're a fit for the competitor's strength, we'll tell you to stay there. We'd rather lose the deal than lose your trust.
How do you keep the comparisons up to date?
Where we hold a competitor's published figures in our price registry, the page prints the date they were read off that vendor's own Australian page, and the figure and the date come from the same row. Where we do not, the page prints no date rather than borrowing one. Vendor pricing changes frequently, so always verify on the vendor's own site before making a switching decision.
What if I want to keep my existing accounting software?
Several apps in the OneBookPlus marketplace bridge to existing tools, and every record can be exported to CSV. You can adopt OneBookPlus for bookings, CRM, or marketing without ripping out your current accounting platform.
How does OneBookPlus pricing work?
There are four plans, not three: $0/month (Free), $29/month (Starter), $49/month (Plus), or $69/month (Growth). Free covers most sole traders, Starter adds unlimited invoices, custom branding and Stripe payments, Plus lifts the contact and booking-page caps, and Growth adds the AI features, SMS marketing and advanced reporting. Every plan includes the core platform, and there is no commission on bookings or payments processed through Stripe. What the plans band is logins rather than charging per seat. Each plan includes a set number of logins, one login on Free, three on Starter, five on Plus and ten on Growth, and below the cap there is no per-seat charge at all. On Growth an extra login is $9/mo, added to the same invoice, so an eleventh person costs $9 and not a new plan. Staff you roster and book but who never sign in (instructors, carers, cleaners, stylists) are free and unlimited on every plan.
Is OneBookPlus suitable for my industry?
Probably yes. We publish a dedicated landing page for each of 88 industries (see /for for the complete list) covering trades, health, hospitality, real estate, professional services, aged care, and more. Each industry page documents the specific OneBookPlus features and integrations relevant to that sector.

Every competitor price and capability claim is read off that vendor's own published Australian pages. Where we hold that vendor in competitor-facts.ts, the figure and the date it was read come from the same row and that date is what the comparison prints; where we hold no row, the page prints no date rather than borrowing one. Vendor pages change often, so check the vendor's own site before deciding. Claims about OneBookPlus describe what ships today, and each page names what we do not do.
