About this app

This is not built yet. There is no alarm register in OneBookPlus today and nothing is tracking a replace-by date for you. The rules it will apply are real, and worth knowing either way. AS 3786 photoelectric smoke alarms have a 10-year operational life and sit under a thicket of state-specific landlord, rental and sale rules, QLD Fire and Emergency Services Act 2016 requires interconnected photoelectric alarms in every bedroom, hallway and storey for all dwellings by 1 January 2027; NSW Residential Tenancies Amendment Act 2019 requires annual landlord testing and 10-year replacement; VIC Residential Tenancies Amendment Regulations 2021 requires annual rental checks; SA/WA/TAS/ACT/NT each carry parallel rental and sale requirements (mains-powered or 10-year sealed battery, photoelectric AS 3786). When it ships, the pack will add a per-property alarm register (location: hallway, master bed, kids' room, each storey; alarm type photoelectric or dual-sensor; install date; hush button; interconnect mode hardwired, RF or wireless; battery technology), 10-year replace-by alerts, annual rental-round scheduling, button-test and decibel-reading capture on-site, and a landlord or conveyancer compliance cert summarising every alarm against the state's current rule. Until then, keep the register you keep now.

How it works

About OneBookPlus apps

How Smoke Alarm Compliance Pack fits into the rest of OneBookPlus

Most OneBookPlus apps are not external integrations wired up between separate products. They are native modules installed inside the same platform you already use for invoicing, bookings, CRM, and accounting. That means Smoke Alarm Compliance Pack reads from and writes to the same customer records, financial entries, and calendar events as every other module, with no scheduled sync delays and no risk of data drift between systems.

Because the marketplace runs inside OneBookPlus, billing is consolidated. Smoke Alarm Compliance Pack appears as a single line on the same OneBookPlus invoice as your plan, so you don't end up reconciling separate vendor charges across three or four different SaaS subscriptions. Cancellation is one click and never reaches into your data. Uninstalling an app removes the feature from the UI but preserves the underlying customer, invoice, and booking records, so reinstalling later picks up exactly where you left off.

Every app in the marketplace is built specifically for the Australian small and medium business context: GST and ABN handling are first-class concerns, dates render as DD/MM/YYYY, currency defaults to AUD, and the underlying compliance plumbing (BAS summaries, ATO-friendly records, AHPRA / NDIS / Fair Work checkpoints where relevant) is shared across modules.

For a side-by-side of which features ship as core modules versus which require an installed app, see the features page. For pricing across plans and which apps are bundled at each tier, see the pricing page.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about Smoke Alarm Compliance Pack and the OneBookPlus app marketplace.

Does it handle the different state rules?

Not yet. The state rules are set out below so you can see what the register will apply, but nothing enforces them today. QLD requires interconnected photoelectric alarms in every bedroom, hallway and storey by 1 Jan 2027; NSW requires annual landlord testing and 10-year replacement; VIC requires annual rental checks; and SA/WA/TAS/ACT/NT each have their own parallel rules.

What does the 10-year alert do?

Nothing today, because the register is not built. AS 3786 photoelectric alarms have a 10-year operational life, and when the register ships it will hold each alarm's install date and flag the alarm when replacement is due. Until then that date is yours to track.

Yes. There are no lock-in contracts on any OneBookPlus app. Uninstall from your dashboard at any time and billing stops at the end of the current period.
