About this app
Gyms and studios lose retention insight when attendance lives in a paper signin sheet. Member Check-in puts a tablet at your front door (or on the booking portal for online classes) that lets members tap a QR code or punch a 4-digit PIN to confirm they're here. The visit is logged against their contact record, their visit count and last-visit timestamp update automatically, and any loyalty milestones fire instantly, '10 visits since you joined, here's a free guest pass'. The dashboard's At-Risk Members tile is driven by exactly this data: members who haven't checked in for 21+ days surface for re-engagement. For class-based studios, check-in optionally takes the member's booking off the waitlist or marks them present on a registered booking; for drop-in/casual visits, it can create a booking on the fly. Trainers see who's in the building right now from their own mobile app, so they can spot a regular they haven't seen in a while and start a conversation.

About OneBookPlus apps
How Member Check-in fits into the rest of OneBookPlus
Most OneBookPlus apps are not external integrations wired up between separate products. They are native modules installed inside the same platform you already use for invoicing, bookings, CRM, and accounting. That means Member Check-in reads from and writes to the same customer records, financial entries, and calendar events as every other module, with no scheduled sync delays and no risk of data drift between systems.
Because the marketplace runs inside OneBookPlus, billing is consolidated. Member Check-in is included free with every plan, so installation just enables the feature in your dashboard. Cancellation is one click and never reaches into your data. Uninstalling an app removes the feature from the UI but preserves the underlying customer, invoice, and booking records, so reinstalling later picks up exactly where you left off.
Every app in the marketplace is built specifically for the Australian small and medium business context: GST and ABN handling are first-class concerns, dates render as DD/MM/YYYY, currency defaults to AUD, and the underlying compliance plumbing (BAS summaries, ATO-friendly records, AHPRA / NDIS / Fair Work checkpoints where relevant) is shared across modules.
For a side-by-side of which features ship as core modules versus which require an installed app, see the features page. For pricing across plans and which apps are bundled at each tier, see the pricing page.
Frequently asked questions
Common questions about Member Check-in and the OneBookPlus app marketplace.
Do I need to buy a separate tablet?
No. Member Check-in runs in any modern browser, so an old iPad or Android tablet works fine. Mount it at the front desk in kiosk mode (browser locked to the check-in URL) and you're set. For online or remote check-ins, members use their own phone via the booking portal.
What if a member forgets their PIN?
Staff can look them up by name and check them in manually from the same kiosk, or the member can use the QR code on the back of their physical membership card. PINs reset from the contact's profile.
Does this work for class bookings or just drop-ins?
Both. If a member has a booking for today, check-in marks them present. If they're a drop-in (casual class), check-in creates the booking on the fly with the right service and price, fed back into your Class Pack Tracker if installed.
How does the At-Risk Members tile use this data?
Every check-in stamps the member's last visit. The dashboard surfaces any member who hasn't checked in for 21 days or more, that's your re-engagement list, ordered by visit count so your most loyal lapsed regulars are at the top.
Can a member check in via the booking portal instead of the kiosk?
Yes, for online classes or self-service studios, members get a check-in link in their booking confirmation. Tap-to-check-in confirms they showed up.
