Setting Up Payment Methods
OneBookPlus supports multiple payment methods on your invoices. The more options you offer, the easier it is for clients to pay, and the faster you get paid.
Accessing Payment Settings
- Go to Settings from the sidebar
- Click Payment Methods
Bank Transfer
Add your bank details so clients can pay via direct deposit:
- Toggle Bank Transfer to on
- Enter your BSB (6 digits)
- Enter your Account Number
- Optionally add an Account Name
These details appear on every invoice under the payment section.
BPay
If you have a BPay Biller Code:
- Toggle BPay to on
- Enter your Biller Code
- The customer reference number is generated automatically from the invoice number
PayID
PayID allows instant payments using an identifier instead of BSB/account number:
- Toggle PayID to on
- Select your PayID type: Email, Phone, or ABN
- Enter the corresponding value
Stripe (Credit/Debit Card)
Stripe enables online card payments directly from your invoices:
- Toggle Credit/Debit Card to on
- Click Connect Stripe
- Follow the Stripe onboarding process to create or connect your Stripe account
- Once connected, every invoice includes a Pay Now button
Clients can pay using:
- Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)
- Debit card
- Apple Pay and Google Pay (on supported devices)
How Online Payments Work
- You send an invoice to your client
- The client opens the invoice via the email link
- They click Pay Now
- They enter their card details (or use Apple/Google Pay)
- Payment is processed by Stripe
- The invoice is automatically marked as Paid in OneBookPlus
- Funds are deposited to your bank account (typically within 2 business days)
Fees
Stripe charges its own per-transaction fee, published on Stripe's Australian pricing page. We do not restate the rate here, because it changes and a stale figure in a help article is worse than none.
OneBookPlus charges a platform fee of up to 2.5 per cent on online card payments on top of Stripe's. The rate that applies to your account is on the billing page under card payment fees.
Both come out of the payment before it reaches your bank account.
Taking a card in person is a different thing and is not available yet. See what your client sees when they pay.
Choosing Your Methods
You can enable any combination of payment methods. We recommend enabling at least Bank Transfer and Stripe to cover clients who prefer either option.
