Bank feeds: where we are up to

Automatic bank feeds are withdrawn while we replace the provider. What that means for your account, and what to do in the meantime.

Bank feeds are switched off

Automatic bank feeds are withdrawn. You cannot connect a bank account to OneBookPlus at the moment, and any connection made before the withdrawal has been stopped.

The feed ran through Basiq, a third-party data provider that retrieves transaction data on your behalf from the accounts you authorise. It stopped delivering transactions reliably, and a feed that reports healthy while returning nothing is worse than no feed at all, so we withdrew the integration rather than leave it running.

We are replacing the provider. We are not naming a date or a new provider here, and we will tell you plainly on this page when it is back.

What to do instead

Import your transactions from a file your bank exports. Go to Banking, then Transactions & Import, then Import Statement, and upload a CSV, OFX or QFX file. The full walkthrough is in Getting bank transactions into OneBookPlus.

Nothing else in accounting depends on the feed. Expenses and supplier bills can be entered directly or read from a photographed receipt or a PDF bill, payments are recorded against the invoices they settle, and GST, BAS-ready figures and the profit and loss report are unaffected.

Transactions already imported

Anything that came in before the withdrawal stays in your books. It is your data, it stays categorised and reconciled as you left it, and you can export it whenever you want from the same page.

When it returns

A replacement feed will sit in the same place, Banking, then Transactions & Import, alongside the file import rather than replacing it. Imports you have done in the meantime will not be duplicated: every line is matched on date, amount and description as it arrives.
